RHYTHM OF THE RYE (IRE) 5yo Poet's Word ex Eclectica Girl (Multiplex)

RHYTHM OF THE RYE is a very good looking and athletic 5-year-old gelding.  He made an extremely encouraging debut on 28th March 2026 at Tranwell (Morpeth) in a Point-to-Point bumper, ridden by Thomas Easterby, where he finished an excellent 2nd first time out. Thomas was very pleased with the performance, and it was a highly promising start to his racing career. RHYTHM OF THE RYE has already been schooled over hurdles and fences, where he has shown himself to be a natural jumper. 

He is by Poet's Word the multiple Group 1 winner, who is quickly establishing a strong reputation as a very good National Hunt sire.  RHYTHM OF THE RYE is half brother to the very talented Grade 3 winner 'Electric Mason' who is currently rated OR139.  He should make a very nice hurdler and chaser over 2m 4f to 3 miles.

The current plan is for him to go hurdling in the second half of the year, although he may run in a bumper under Rules beforehand.
