ARDAD ex SECRETARIAL Filly

We were delighted to bring home this lovely Ardad filly from the Tattersalls Somerville Sale. Ardad was an under the radar sire when he went to stand at Overbury Stud but he has certainly made a splash. He is the sire of Black-type winners Crispy Cat and Eve Lodge as well as siring the multiple Group 1 winner Perfect Power.

Secretarial is by the fabulous Kingman out of the Group 2 placed mare Wadaat. She was trained here at Habton Grange, so this is a family Tim knows well. Her first foal Miss Hathaway is also trained here, she’s an extremely tough and consistent filly who has been unlucky not to be a winner so far in her career. Miss Hathaway has shown plenty of ability, which encouraged us to take the plunge with her half sister.

This filly is a very much takes after her sire, Ardad, who she has a real look of. We’ve already had a great experience with this family and we can’t wait to get going with this latest generation. This filly is registered for a 100% Great British Bonus should she win a qualifying race.
