Equine Stud Manager – EASTHORPE HALL STUD

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Stud Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our thoroughbred stud based in North Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will have excellent horse-management and organisational skills, with a high standard of care and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the daily care, health and welfare of all horses
• Managing broodmares, foals, young stock and sales prep
• Foaling and breeding-season management
• Liaising with vets, farriers and other equine professionals
• Managing and supervising stud staff 
• Maintaining accurate breeding, veterinary and stud records
• Organising feed, bedding, supplies and pasture management
• Ensuring the yard, paddocks and facilities are maintained to a high standard

The ideal candidate will:

• Have substantial experience working within a professional stud environment
• Be confident handling mares, foals and young stock
• Have good knowledge of breeding, foaling and equine health
• Be organised, dependable and capable of working independently
• Have strong communication and staff-management skills
• Be willing to work flexible hours during the breeding and foaling season
• Hold a full driving licence
