DARK ANGEL ex GYPSY SPIRIT (DOB 02/03/23) BAY FILLY

This filly has everything you would expect from the Tattersalls Book 2 sale. She has a fabulous pedigree and a wonderful physique to match. The sire DARK ANGEL has been one of the great breeding success stories, a fantastic racehorse, and a sire of many Group winners.  You will see him represented by his offspring in most Group 1 sprints around Europe.  BATTAASH, HARRY ANGEL, MECCA’S ANGEL, ART POWER, and recent Group 1 Ascot winner CHARYN, are just some of the Group 1 winners he has produced. We purchased the filly from Grangemore Stud, and they also bred recent Group 1 Ascot winner CHARYN.

This filly is the first offspring out of the high-class mare, GYPSY SPIRIT.   GYPSY SPIRIT was a black-type filly herself, placing in no less than 8 listed races before being sold to the USA to continue her career. She reached a handicap mark of 97 at her peak and was one of Gregorian’s top-rated progeny and she looks a very exciting broodmare prospect. This filly moves extremely well, gliding across the ground as she walks.  We feel very fortunate to have secured her for 45,000gns.

The cost of 10% share is £5500 which includes sales commission to Tattersalls, vetting, insurance, and all breaking in costs to 31st December 2024.  Then it will be an all-inclusive monthly fee of £295/month from 1st January 2025 and monthly thereafter.

LOPE DE VEGA ex SILK FOREST (DOB 14/03/23) CHESNUT COLT

This is a very impressive looking colt by the sire LOPE DE VEGA, who is always in very high demand at the sales.  LOPE DE VEGA’s stud fee has rocketed over the past few years, and given some of his progeny, it is no surprise really.  He has produced 24 individual Group 1 winners in Europe and Australia.  From top-class sprinters in Australia, like SANTA ANA LANE and GYTRASH, to Group 1-winning milers in Europe, like BELARDO, PHOENIX OF SPAIN and ZABEEL PRINCE.  His progeny tends to come out running early and thrive with age and experience. This colt certainly doesn’t lack anything when it comes to his pedigree page. He is the second offspring out of a winning KODIAC mare, SILK FOREST.   SILK FOREST was a black-type filly herself and was rated as high as 106 in her prime. She won at Listed level and was also placed at both Group 2 & 3 level.  Her first offspring, Silk Satin, was sold for 140,000gns as a yearling.  Therefore, we feel very fortunate to have secured this colt for only 50,000gns.

The cost of 10% share is £6000 which includes sales commission to Tattersalls, vetting, insurance, and all breaking in costs to 31st December 2024.  Then it will be an all-inclusive monthly fee of £295/month from 1st January 2025 and monthly thereafter.

INVINCIBLE ARMY ex ODDYSEY (DOB 07/03/23) BAY COLT

Purchased from the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sales, a smashing Invincible Army colt, which we were delighted to secure for £27,000. He was the very last yearling in the catalogue, but he was definitely worth the wait.  Being by the same sire as our mulitplie winner, Vince L’Amour, this colt was always high on the list to have a look at when we got to the sales. Tim was very taken by his athletic physique and natural effortless walk. He was a no brainer to make the final shortlist.  This colt certainly doesn’t lack anything when it comes to his pedigree page in the catalogue either. He is out of the multiple winning Acclamation mare, Oddysey. She was a high 80’s rated filly herself and has passed that talent onto her current offspring. Of four previous foals, all have run and three have been winners (all by lesser quality stallions). She has even produced a black-type performer in the shape of Fearless Angel, who was only beaten a nose in a Listed race in Chantilly.  The pedigree has had an update since we purchased him. His half-brother, Dark Oak, won in Ireland on 10th September and he has subsequently been second twice since (All the progeny from the dam Oddysey have now been winners).

The cost of 10% share is £3500 which includes sales commission to Goffs UK, vetting, insurance, and all breaking in costs to 31st December 2024.  Then it will be an all-inclusive monthly fee of £295/month from 1st January 2025 and monthly thereafter.
