Introducing Masekela, the black-type winning son of El Kabier. In 2022, Masekela held his own against superstars like Desert Crown and Westover, finishing a brilliant 4th in the Epsom Derby.

But his brilliance wasn't limited to the classic stage. As a 2-year-old, he won the Denford Stakes at Newbury, defeating the future Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Bayside Boy. He even pushed Group 2 Superlative Stakes victor Native Trail to a photo finish!

Now, ready for a fresh start, Masekela arrives at our yard with his lowest ever mark of 85. A change of scenery can work wonders for these older horses and is something we have benefitted before with the likes of Copper Knight, Dark Jedi and Boardman.
