We have for sale a James Garfield colt, purchased from the Goffs Premier Yearling Sales. James Garfiled is a sire we have done well with in the past couple of years. Both of the previous yearlings we have bought by Rathbarry Stud’s stallion have been winners as 2-year-olds for the yard. James Garfield has been a good source of 2-year-old speed, advertised best by his group placed daughter Maria Branwell.
This colt is out of a Leroidesanimaux mare called Rhigolter Rose. She is the dam of two previous foals including a full-brother and the very useful Roman Hands trained in Ireland. Rhigolter Rose herself is from a good family that includes multiple Group 1 winners and was a winner over 1m for William Haggas.
We were delighted to secure this colt from Rathbarry Stud, who looks just the type to keep our James Garfield 2-year-old winners streak going. He is for sale as a whole or in part to stay in the yard. Please contact us for more information.
