Lucy Ireland - Ride Of Their Lives 

As many of you are aware, every year at York's June meeting, they hold a very special charity race to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. 12 amateur jockeys will line up on the Knavesmire in The Ride Of Their Lives race. This year, we have the absolute pleasure of supporting Lucy Ireland, who will be taking part in the 2024 renewal. Lucy, who has been riding out with us, will be riding one of our horses on the big day. All the participants will be holding fundraisers in a bid to raise as much money for Macmillan as possible. The race has raised over £10million for Macmillan and other local charities since it was first run. Lucy has set a target of raising £4,000 for Macmillan, a charity very close to her heart.
